illnic, ctrl click on the layer with the trees, then add a layer mask to that layer. This will cut into the image a bit and get rid of most or all of the halo around the trees. Now, apply the mask, then do the same thing again, but instead of applying t

FYI for those who don't know what I'm talking about. Ctrl clicking on a layer in Photoshop will automatically selecte every part of that layer that isn't transparent.

other trick ctrl click the layer with the trees then click "modify border" 1 or 2 it will only select the edge of the trees zoom it. u will see the edge part only has been selected then gausian blurr 1 or 1.5 it will blurr only the edge of the trees not t

An easier way is to select Layer | defringe. I use it all the time for situations like this.
