I hated those puzzles when I was a kid! Those and magic-eye pictures. ...Excellent stuff. The JPEG compression has messed your nice smooth background gradient but that can't be helped. Cool (can't vote yet)

Just a note for anyone who doesn't have the best monitor or thats on its way out and lacks contrast you can always create an adjustment layer in photoshpo and crank the contrast or brightness up and use that to see variations in tone within areas that sho
