the dog is in the original photo but I had fun trying to get the car in there and thinking through the dif' angles and reflections...thanks!

I would have reduced the unsharp mask line around the dog's reflection or added one to the car's reflection...but still a good composition.

Actually I did 2 transparent layers(one color and another desaturated) with a .2 and .3 gaussian blurr specifcally to kill the halo around the dog (I'll have to try the unsharpmask soon though) It looked much better on my final product but when I dropped

In this case the unsharp mask filter would not help because it is specifically designed to create halo's of this sort to enhance detail. The source image that you chose had too much sharpness applied to start with. To kill or create this type of effect i
