needs to be gaussian blurred and maybe add a layer of noise to it to match the feel of the image you incorporated it in to. My guess is if you try that, it'll blend in so well it would go unnoticed as an addition :^)

and maybe drop the contrast a bit so the darks aren't so dark. I wouldn't comment so much but I really like this idea, and I LOVE mad scientist laboratories!
