glass usually has sharp, defined edges, i think if you edged the entire rose you'd get more of a glass feel, but this is nice, and i couldn't do it!

I agree with Pat, and I think that had you not specified your intentions, your entry might have gotten the attention it deserves. Glass looks clearer and sharper. I commend you on your attempt at an extremely challenging task, and feel that your entry deserves merit for what it is, and not for what you set out to achieve. I agree with supak's suggestion. I hope you will attempt this again and get closer to the result you want. :)
