blue lurker - The dmap is actually quite easy to make. In CS, use 'Filter > Render > Fibers...' Play around with the sliders and hit OK. Rotate the image 90 degrees. Then 'Free Transform' by Shift+Ctrl+Alt / Shift+Command+Option dragging one of the bottom
