Yes showcase...there is definately an art to bringing out the detail that lurks in the shadows. But what is even harder yet is also making it colorful. I'm glad that someone noticed. Thank you showcase. ;)

sicklyperson...I only posted today because I thought the picture was gastly and felt a deep need to fix it. making the girl fetch like a dog was just an added benifit. ;) If you find it to be retarded, then by all means, don't vote for it.

btw...I did not use any masks or conventional color correction techniques to fix this image. It was all done with apply image and other channel blending techniques. The best way to fix any image is to use the image itself.

Jerry, Thanks- I've been in dire need of an EXAMPLE of just what the heck I am talking about when I say that color correction AND image correction often should be a basic first step before beginning a chop. THAT said, of all the image fixes
