How did you get your PSC nickname?
My real name is Luis thus the Lu and i,so instead of putting an s at the end,I threw in a z...but that sounded silly (Luiz the sleeze, hehe) so I looked at the other three last letters of the alphabet to see what 7 letter name I could come up with.Luiz + wxy.I put them in a hat waved the magic wand and pulled out Luxwyiz.Well the i and the y were redundant,so I kept the i and discarded the y and decided on Luxwiz.Lux is light in latin and is the term used for the measurment of light (The International System unit of illumination, one lux is equal to one lumen per square metre, where 4 π lumens is the total luminous flux of a light source of one candela of luminous intensity). It also rhymes with luck.Wiz is short for wizard.A wizard of light seemed appropriate enough for an art form that deals with electrons, photons and pixels. Now the trick was first to learn to chop (I love photography, drawing and painting but I didn't have a clue about photoshop) and try to live up to such an exotic sounding name...Well once I started I couldn't stop, and Luxwiz it was

How did you find PSC, and what do you like most about the site?
browsing the web. When I started dabbling with PS I was looking for tutorials or web sites wher I could learn and I came across PSC.I joined back in 2004 but it wasn't until 2006 that I actually started participaiting in the day to day contests.I love the community feel here, lots of great creative talented altruistic people to learn Ps with. Also I enjoy checking out the day to day comps and seeing the chops people come up with, some incredibly awesome images other not so incredibly awesome images, but almost always interesting and inspiring.
