it seems I've been repeating this reminder a little too much in private conversation with some folks lately,
so here is a general reminder of a simple thing to everyone.
When searching for images, or grabbing the source photo for a contest..in fact everywhere except for PSCURL's in PSC chat---
You do not need to right click save---just drag the picture off the web and drop it right into your working folder or right onto your desktop.
If for some reason this does not work for you-
click Tools-Internet options- advanced and look for it and check it off.
There was a version of PS that I was able to drop images right into, I do not remember which version and possibly it was another Adobe image program. Maybe try yours.

I like ta right click save...makes me feel usefull...and now I know it pisses ya off case...Im gunna do it all the time...

I always right click, copy, and paste right into PS, exactly where I want it.

I shout at the screen alot, until it craps itself and the image plops out the bottom of the monitor.

i use a mac.. there is no 'right click' LOL

works really well for "stealing" those copy protected images that you can't save or copy/paste.

has anyone noticed that this "left drag to location" method doesn't work sometimes, for some images? I have to resort to "right-click and copy" or "save as"

Except for source images that are bigger than the height/width of my browser, I just do a screen captures. Then paste in a new document in photoshop to use.

It's simpler than that. Just click and hold an image, and there's a dropdown where you can choose to copy it.

...well you forgot to mention that you also have to hold down the control key...unless you have super magical powers.

An even better solution is the app Snapz Pro X 2. It's an OSX app that replaces the built in screen capture features of OSX. The app allows you to capture anything on your screen including video game action or images from DVD movies, somethng the OS capture utility does not allow. You can also record movies right off the screen to make live demos of application demonstrations because it records your every move with the mouse and menus. You can save images or movies in any format and also resize them right from the app before saving them. It's a great utility. I've been using it for several years now.

Does that mean I don´t have to take a picture of the screen, develope, scan the printed photo, save into a folder and then import it in PS???? Geee, you saved me a lot of time Scion!!!! Thank you sir!!!!!

i use both... mac and pc.

at work i use the mac (holding down control while clicking is ur "right click")

I can drag the images into PS with no problem on the mac. its CS2

on my pc i have PS 7.0 and i believe u can click and drag the picture into the program also with that, yet i always tend to just copy and paste.
