Before i read this i sent a letter to PopPhoto(magazine) saying how much this site helped me with PS and working with digital photos .

I know that a few of us can't access PSC on firefox due to some tech issue or other. Maybe this affects a lot more people than we think, and could also be a reason for the decline.

Isn't one fo the best ad methods is to have lots of links from other sites. So I mention PSC on other forums I've subscribed to as well as to other people all the time.
When I find a site with a pic that I submit as a source I email the owner to get permission and they'll sometimes mention it on their sites. If they've got a forum I'll put a thread that mentions PSC and the picture that came from the site with a link to the contest that it'll be in.

Meaty, my image has been done for months. We have nobody to put the thing together. DBbowling offered but is making it another size or something. I put a lot of work into mine and will be happy to pass on a portion of it...

I recently received a forward email from a relative filled with worth1000 weird images. Maybe someone could create a compilation email with some of the oddest/best PSC images and links to the entries, then start sending it around.

It would not be SPAM. it would the annoying forward emails sent by everyone's grandma.
Looking at one year ago it does look like this site is sliding.
Last Years contests 5/17 - 5/27: Total Votes: 9,764 and Total entries: 825

Drop the egos, talk more intelligently, stop the backbiting, encourage more often, vote more often, higher resolution source pictures, more females"  more exciting source pictures, redo older contests because of that idea you got weeks or months later" colorize black and white picture contest,  just a few idea's"..Oh, counseling, yoga and anger management classes"
