I was just wondering if the front page active forums list should
link to the last post rather than the very beginning of the thread.
Just that I'd really like that option...no big.

Ive thought about that too Scion....but then, if its a new thread, I wanna start at the first comment...
then...if its a thread I've read, I want it to go to the last page.

hmmmm...indeed quite the dilema....
kinda like if you've heard the joke, you want whoever's telling it to get to the punchline before your brain atrophies, but if you haven't, you don't want anyone around you to spoil the ending.

so-just to the right of each link-- a small second link to go to end of thread?
This aint important but you guys got it right away so maybe others use those links too.

yeah...but we're more intelligent than most.
That being said....
Maybe a pull down menu with the choice of displaying first to last, or last to first. All the 'good' sites I frequent have those.
Do I have to say "just kidding" or is everyone OK?

Hmnmm. which brings to mind something else--
at the top of each forum page where it says page1,2,3,4...
it'd be nice to see the word...."LAST"!
NOW THAT is a good idea.

when it comes to this particular question, I personally don't mind having to click the "last page" button to get to the most recent post. Like it's already been stated, I usually start at the beginning of the thread to see whats going on. Maybe JMH could implement a setting in everybody's profiles that enables you personally set it so that you either go to the beginning or end of a thread. I've seen similar things, but I don't know how hard this would be. That, to me, is the best solution.

I personally think to make it easy and streamlined it should have 7 different colored thumbnails for every day of the week with 26 cooresponding contrasting colors for the posters First or last initial...wait make it 52 contrasting colors for both first and last name initials. All posts that were posted in a month that ends in"LY or RY" shall have special tags (or flags so to speak) all others will have multy shaped and colored baloons
attached to them, in the event that a user has posted to two or more forums, in the same month...within the same week or day that posting shall by default go to the front of the forum so it (they) are viewed first, also i think it would be cool to incorporate shortcut keys:: for example Ctrl + Alt +shift + S + M + T+ M + R + P + O (show me the most recent posts only) this would definitley make life easier. Also if every time you click on or open a new post in a forum I would hope to see another browser window open up ...easier to navigate that way....same would be cool in chat....every new chat post a new IE or Firefox window could open up!!
Just some ideas..............make the voices in my head go away please!

this I like...the part about a little image link that takes you to the end of the thread instead of the beginning...like in the complete forum listing thing.
and Sage is right...not only were we blessed with stunning good looks, we're smarter than the average pscer. That might explain it. I dont know.

End To Thread Spamming? I've been away and have not heard of this concept being implimented. What Up?
And (pertaining to this particular thread) I agree that an option to go Back Of Thread or Front Of Thread would be cool.
