I thought it would be interesting to find out more about each person's segment of roll canvas--and give some more opportunity to try to spread the word and recruit more PSCers to join the fun! Creatively, emotionally... what inspired your creation for the scroll? Anecdotes, hobbies, other interests? Anything you want to include in telling a little bit about your piece, please share it with us.
My sources are photos I took of our "daisy patch" in our yard:
The daisy is my mother's favorite flower. And she provided the inspiration behind my piece as she was recently diagnosed with advanced lung cancer. I wanted to include the entire life cycle... life, death, fears, and dreams. Grefix's baby made the perfect accompaniment to emphasize furture hopes and helped me develop how to execute the concept I wanted to convey.
Such a display of creativity, talent, and teamwork I have never seen before, and I am truly privileged to be a small part of it.
COME ONE, COME ALL!!!

and then i was like...toasters....in......SPACE!
and I'll add a squirell for good measure.
and thats how my scroll was made.

I actually made my part before the scroll was even started, I just added the pillars and waterfall and boat to tie it in to the BlueLurker's chop. I still haven't finished part of it which Splodge will update once I have finished it. By the way, great tie in, FootFungas, it looks great. Fitting, too, since mine is titled 'Nebula.'

Well, of course! What else would one do with blue and black other than toasters in space? Duh! And the squirrel is a must-have accessory for any toasters-in-space depiction.
Mason, I remember when you said you forgot the star-flare layer that tied in more with Blue Lurker's pic... I think that will be the perfect touch more when you finally add it.
Meaty, that's an incredible compilation and composition of some of your favorite things! Your blending job into Micose's still greatly impresses me!

Yeah, that layer I forgot ticked me off...Since I don't have that lens flare in PS7, I had to make the other side of it by hand...Then it somehow got turned off...I'm going to add more ships, water and pillars going into the distance, it'll be very cool, and give it a lot more depth.

Yoiks! I just finished mine! I was jammed between Lord David and Caf7D
Dial antipersperant ad (1980's): Aren't you glad you used DIAL? Don't you wish EVERYONE did?
--------------------------------------------
Anyway - I ended up (after clean up) with about 30 layers and one un-used badger.
And Lord David had a trucated bit on his Ring of Saturn that left me stuck with some poo-poo, but I did my best with it. At least I didnt' have to worry about leaving anything hanging for the next guy as my project was a Dead End job!
I set aside a couple hours this afternoon to do this. It was good to have some boundaries and also wide open choice. Neeto!

yeah, I think it was a bit unfair to have both sides of your chop already surrounded...it takes away the fun of leaving one side of your chop open for the next person to figure out...
