Does anyone else think that leaving certain authors notes gives away whos who?

example, If I were to list my outsidesources theshaman would come up in the photobucket part of the html... so I left them out for this reason.

I think for the anonymous contests, we shouldnt post anything but the entry.
In otherwords let our work speak for itself like in the H2H contests

whos with me?

not even a title too, because some titles have recognizable signatures too. Well, doesn't really matter to me anyway, because I never look at the names either when it's not anonymous Smile

So the problem is if you add author notes, people will see your name in the link?

Do you have something against using a free image host once a month like Imageshack? you could use that for the anonymous contests.

I would still like to see sources on questionable entries in these contests and some authors might like to show them to prove how much work they really did. However, knowing that Marco did a source extension all the way around and add a perfectly photo quality airplane or something without ouside sources, I can do with out Very Happy

Authors comments should stay IMO.

author notes are staying.

any member that gives their identity away via a note or title or on the image itself, will not be eligible for a prize.

JMH good enough for me... thanks!

BTW I wasnt asking you to take them off or change your coding though... more or less saying maybe we as the artists should leave them off. Wink

See, JMH thought of everything.
That means Micose is gonna have to think of a new title.

good, thats what I think is right. Authors notes are a must; I know from experience that if you don't/can't post sources and text, a lot of people don't even realize what the hell you might have done and what is outside source. A great example is this entry;

http://photoshopcontest.com/tournament/view/436/display.html
(The bottom one.)

A lot of people didn't even know what I did, besides put the bananas in. Most thought that glass already had the fruit and slushy-stuff in it and I just used it, but I did all that.
I know i'm not the only person who's had this problem before. To the people that say "let the work speak for itself" thats all nice and dandy, but when its a technical image that needs sources to show what is real and whats photoshop, it needs the notes.
