Hey all,

I am about to purchase Adobe Photoshop Creative Suite 2 Premium. I have Photoshop CS 2, but my versions of InDesign, Illustrator, GoLive etc arn't right up to date.

Now here is the issue.

I have the chance to get the American version, as a colleague is going across the pond in a few days for a week or so.

In the U.S it costs $1199 (thats 631.58 pound sterling).

If I buy from the U.K it costs 1051.62 pounds sterling ( thats $1,996.29).

you see why I am interested in the American version.

Anyway, basically, does anyone know how this would work. Do Adobe need to license it to the purchaser, or does it get licensed when I install it. And can I install and run the software in the U.K?...

Also if anyone can think of any other issues why this would, or wouldn't work. Please stick them down Very Happy

thanks in advance people Smile

oh and if your wondering why I didn't use a pound sign, its because ever since my system crash, its the only symbol that won't work...for some reason, even after installing drivers. But hey thats not the issue, so i'll shut up.

Very Happy

Insatation was fine as was the activation thing but because Im using a second users license I had to do another regestry and activation to get all the site stuff.
I had to wait for ages for adobe to recognise my activation number.
Now I find I cant run CS2 at the same time as PS7.
And Image ready aint doing what it should either but I think thats my fault there. (Had an hacked copy before and think it has screwed things up)

But the price was right for me...and because its thru work I get some good IT support with problems and free mag from Iweb, local PSmag here in Oz.

I'm not positive but I'm pretty sure it'll run the same unless you like have a britlander Operating System or something.
And if he buys it in a box they wouldnt license it to him would they?

No no no no no...Didn't you guys hear?
Adobe is not going to sell anymore copies of Photoshop! They've declared it obsolete and say it will take them at least 10 years to develop something new...and the versions already installed will automatically uninstall themselves at midnight London time...

Of course, this only applies to Marco, so the rest of us have nothing to worry about! Very Happy
