Thank you for sharing the story Kansas, it is very powerful indeed. I used to live next door to a WWII veteran. He was among the first American troops to land in Hiroshima after the bomb had dropped. I loved talking to him and listening to his stories ... it was like living history.

Wow, that's great EJH, that gnome was such a great source photo, I loved working with it. I have to thank your parents, the gnome and yourself for me first contest win and a very exciting 3 days.

It's funny since joining PSC I find myself seeing everything as a source. I've shot a bunch and hope sometime to see one of them used in a contest.

P.S. Love your idea of using this as a photographers/authors forum so people can give some background on the source photos.
