I'm all for the anonymous thing during the prize contest but maybe in the "My Active Entries" window there can be an area that says what the highest score in that contest is so far. Not who did it or what image it is, just the score so we have some kind of gauge as to how our own image is doing.

i was the whole time thinking what the use of such feature could be...
until i figured, its indeed interesting if you you were going to win the contest

You can always take the total number of votes and divide it by the number of entries to find out the average... then compare how you're doing to that. Do keep in mind, though, that late entries are "artificially" low in votes... Just a thought that might help scratch your anxious/curiosity itch in the meantime.
