windows vista is another MSN pipe dream, forget about that till late 2007, early 2008,,,, anyone with me here???? it will take them years to sort out the bugs, same as windows XP, ever downloaded service pack2??? takes f**king hours, same will happen to vista once the hackers have finished with it, dont forget they all get the beta version and have all the hacks sorted before the alfa copy gose up for sale, but i detract, what do you want windows pro for, advanced securety, relyabilety, load of crap, the only reason anyone would need windows pro for is if they are ready to go to advanced web design, only reason i bought it for, tiny bit of stuff called IIS, you dont get with home edition, although you do get with older copys of windows, otherwise dont bother, takes 3 hrs to uplaod, if you/re not a web builder/developer no need for it

I was Just trying to throw in another idea other than going to Pro.I have never had a problem upgrading windows.Im one of those that changes hardware often and I try and use the most current software I can afford. Ive never bought a pre-built machine...

pre...built..ma...wha ?

The only bummer regarding self assembly is that you can no longer get good prices (that is, close to web prices) at the computer fairs.
It used to be so handy coz one of the largest in the UK is on every fortnight, just about half a mile up the road here.

You can still get hard drives and RAM at decent prices, but CPU's and, in particular, graphics cards are way over.
