Lol You dont need the psd to be websafe its the optimisation your after... the psd can be In High definition but the output has to be websafe...

file > save for web

or go into imageready

file bar > window > optimize

use that

and dont forget to slice up your image using the slice tool.
also dont forget to make the edge colour all match with the background colour when you put it in dream weaver you dont want edges sligtly different.
