I all, im new...are there also contests for novice people, cause I JUST got P-shop yesterday, and im not all that great, but I cubed a sphere!

Nope we don't sorry. Don't worry, with a bit of practice and entering contests for critique purposes, you will do good in the future...

Check out the Tutorials section for some handy walkthroughs on using key techniques in PS.
And search for Photoshop Tutorials - there's loads out there. Find some pics and try playing around with them.
But most of all - have fun! And welcome to PSC!
