Whatever you do, get a cool rusty piece of crap. My first car was a Datsun 280z (I'm still driving it obviously, haven't had it too long ) and although it is a rusty piece of crap, it is still stylish and has power; It turns heads even if it is a bit rusty and has a couple different-colored body panels.
It's way better than, say, a rusted out 1980's Dodge Omni.
Anyhow, happy birthday, you're right on my tail.

wtf you complaining about, man?? I'd be willing to say that I'd give my left nut for that (note I said willing to say ). My dad's first car was a '69 Chevelle. Unfortunately, some drunk b*tch t-boned it a while back. We had another one after that, but it was sold when we moved.

Happy Birthday to you, too!
maybe granpa Rey will share his cake with you!
after driving the parental boat around (buick), my first car was a slightly used 72 chevy malibu... a 16 year old not paying attention caused a chain reaction accident 2 weeks later - I had to get new side panels and new bumper.

yep happy belated b-day armo!
my first car was a blue 1979 Toyota Corona when I turned 16.
This is not my car but it's similar, cause this one actually looks nice w/o all the rust
I paid 500 bucks for her she had 48K miles...
I called her old bitch, cause she had sort of an attitude. She was blue like this one, but she was very rusty. When you'd slam the door it would leave a rust outline on the ground. But she got me where I needed to go for some time, and when I got lost I could follow the trail of rust back home. Sometimes we'd have to trick her into starting by having friends jump on the hood and rock her awake, some say it was the starter, I say she was stubborn. She took me to St. Louis every summer, and made it all the way to Tampa once. Thats a whole other story...
I ended up putting almost 100K miles on her and sold her for the same 500 bucks! I tried so hard to kill her before her time, being 16 and not wanting to be seen in a rustbucket... looking back though, she was a stubborn old lass who had a lot of character, I miss her.

sorry I missed your b-day Armo. Happy belated birthday!
As for first car.... do you mean what was the first car I got to drive or the first car that had MY name on the registration?
First car I got to "share" with my sister was my mom's Datsun B210 coupe. Like this but brown.

After that my first car was a 1977 Chevy Caprice Classic coupe. Kinda like this one. But blue and a soft top.
Ahhhh the memories.
