Trying to make an icon. I have CS3 and I'm doing the pic in Photoshop. I can't see how to save it (or export it) as an .ico file from within PS. Can this be done?

I can use Illustrator or other program if needed.

that's the one i use in PS 7 and CS2, read about coding the page to make favicon work

if you're doing a favicon for a webpage, I found this one to be good

It lets you import an image and you also have an editor to perfect your 16x16 pixelart creation.

Not a favicon this time around. Just needed an icon for a button in a graphical user interface I'm building.

How about this one - seems to have all the features you might need in an icon editor. And it's freeware.
