I gotta admit it: I ended up 2007 in not the best of moods. Lots of challenges dealing with the world situation and my personal business advantagion. Last night, as midnight kicked in and my fiance Helen and I sat looking out our apartment window at the neighborhood fireworks going off, I realized that I'd started getting "attached" and/or "addicted" to being in a pissy mood. Over the last few months I've gotten rather jaded and annoyed at the world in general. I'm not even going to defend that; I still feel that there is a lot out of wack with how we humans are handling the planet (me included). BUT BUT BUT what I decided last night is that I can bitch all I want AS LONG AS EACH BITCH is balanced by one WOO HOO! for something or someone. There is ALWAYS something good happening. There is always something bad happening. I am going to do my best to keep my attention BALANCED this year.

I wanna keep it real, and even if the Big Media is not too interested in that, I can do my own personal best to find some good in my life and bring some good vibes into a somewhat UNBALANCED (in my opinion) world.

So - maybe a stoopid Avatar with a peace sign on it doesn't matter. But I have found, in my own journeys, that a good attitude DOES help shift my life into a better position. What I notice DOES affect that way my life (in the very least) FEELS to me. And that makes it easier for me to keep on KEEPIN ON.

I'm not saying to pretend that a shit ain't a shit. But you might want to notice the rose bush that grew up on that shit too!

Okay - no more ranting. Either what I'm sayin' makes sense to you or it doesn't. Again: thanks for joining in on this thread and I hope we get some more KICK ASS ("peace" of ass? ) Avatars from more peeps here!

[rant]Oh, come on! Banning firearms is not gonna promote peace. It will get rid of guns almost as well as prohibition got rid of alcohol. Then, only criminals will have guns.
And for instance, if you do have effective gun control and nobody owns guns thats not gonna help anything. Murderers aren't gonna not kill people just cause they don't have firearms. Russia has the highest murder rate in "modernized" countries and the fifth highest overall. And Russia has almost total gun control.
I'm not against peace, but I like my second amendment rights.
Disarming the victim isn't gonna help anything.[/rant]

You can own a gun and still choose to think in peaceful terms.
You can own a gun and still choose to think about how you hope someone will give you a frickin excuse to use it on them.

This thread is NOT about gun control. It is not about WAR. It is not about Political Parties.

It is simply about PEACE and showing it in your own way with your Avatar (if you so choose).
