Hey Gang,

I was recently at photoshopworld in orlando where some of the next generation of photoshop (cs4) was shown. It looks like more 3d capabilities have been coded into this new version. Most of the interfaces are the same as cs3.

The new version of Photoshop will support 64-bit memory (only windows). By taking advantage of 64-bit CPUs, you can access more memory, which means you can work with bigger files. This makes it possible for designers and photo manipulators to work with really big images at high resolutions. (posters, advertising displays, or billboards).

Currently adobe is having to do a total rewrite of adobe cs4 for the apple operating system because most of apples API's uses older code that doesn't use a lot of Apples OSX's new features.

The new code name for Adobes Photoshop CS4 Beta is called "StoneHenge". Here is a screen shot of it

Adobe has said there is no time table set for the release of Photoshop CS4 Extended.
It is currently in the early beta testing right now.

I don't know Dave......I try to keep up on the latest version, but Adobe is gonna have to roll out a few more bells and whistles to jump on that one

And I think they goofed on the stonehenge theme.....it looks like CS41.... Laughing Laughing Laughing

Why instead of putting more and more 3d inside PS adobe doesn't take the balls to create a 3d software of its own?? Who REALLY want to use 3d won't use PS to make it... WAKE UP ADOBE!!

Personally i saw a lot more interesting things in the Flash CS4 than any other of adobe's programs.

A new physics engine called "Deisel" used in the next version makes flash animation is so much more intuitive. Using several of its properties you can make motion edits dynamically on screen without having to mess with the timeline as much.

Flash seems to be combining things from after effects and illustrator to help even the basic flash user work faster.
