Splodge, you've done a FANTASTIC job!
First justified <rant> I've seen here in a long time.
True, about 35% got the part about blending.
so.........maybe it's time to retire it.
Would be nice to have it viewable on PSC.

Ok, if it were at the end of its life.......( No More Additions )......how about we connect both ends, making it a continuous loop, and make it available.....
always thought it would be a great thing to have as a screen saver/desktop sort of thing........
THEN, if someone(s) wanted to pursue roll canvas ver 2.0............they could have at it (on their own) but we could enjoy what we've already done....

I tend to agree - let's wrap this up and call it done.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that our beloved scroll (site) was gone. I didn't mention that detail, but I PM'ed Gref to offer any help I could (short of learning Flash) to help resurrect it.
Even though I haven't heard back from you, the offer still stands, Grefix.

A) Okay - I'm gonna be a bastard here and NOT spend 1/2 a day going through old threads and posts. I'll ask a question that has probably been asked a hundred zillion times already here:
Can someone clearly list the issues with the PScroll?
(eg: a) no hosting space b) tech issues with its size c) just got tired of managing it d) etc )
I, like de Caff (deCaf! See what I did there ), would like to help in keeping this going. I can definately help with the HTML part of it I THINK.
Splodge? Tony?

I truly appreciate the time you spent on this Spolodge, but perhaps you spent TOO much time. My thought is: you don't follow the rules, you don't make it fit, you LOOSE your turn and we move on. I think it WON'T WORK if whoever is managing this SCROLL has to baby sit the entries. If you can't figure it out you don't get to be "published". That will also "force" newbies and such to LEARN A LITTLE. (just my thoughts here... they were itching the inside of my brain so I thought I'd share them with the world).

i'll pay you what you paid for the domain, rehost it on bluetorials.com
Grefix wrote: splodge wrote: any chance of restarting the PSCroll or passing it back to me???
yes, will soon be back. lost sight a bit the last couple of months due to some occurings ( ). But it will be back, and if there's still interest it will be extended too...
dated 11/15 and 11/16 from: Ole Time Speed Chop Day
I haven't heard / seen anything more about it until this thread was resurrected.
Grefix had the scroll beautifully automated from the user's standpoint, including a blending check before uploading the image. I don't know how much re-blending or editing he had to do with that system. He also had some rules in place about who could and who couldn't participate, based on number of entries and VPP or PSCore, I think... an effort toward quality control. I don't know what feedback he may have gotten about his rules.
Grefix? Not to totally pounce on you (speaking strictly for myself, mind you! ), but we'd love some indication of renewed life for the scroll!

the main problem way and beyond the miss-matched posts was apathy, i would send out 4 invites before i would get one reply, that reply could be yes or no, sometimes the yes would come back as a no after waiting 7 days for a post and the process would start all over again, if someone signs up they should be prepared to set aside a few hours at a moments notice, we were not asking for master pieces, just trying to make the worlds longest scroll, and i think we managed that

12 months ago I tried to sign up for the scroll, and then it broketh.....
I would love to get an image and be pointed out to the left or right side of said image, that I make my entry fit too.
