LOL- just used FF so I could use Surf canyon for a bit- then immediately forgot i switched to FF -I started getting real agitated at how slow the browsing got, and was thinking this Google was crap after all...then I realized I was in FF. Ok I am definitely sold.

Very Happy SOLD Thanks Tofu for the info
Internet here in Iraq is Crazy slow like click refresh...go take a piss..come back and hope the new page is up. This has sped up surfing so much! Now maybe my blood pressure will stay at a normal rate when I am searching for externals. Only had the chrome for about an 45 min so have not found any snags yet.

Mea Culpa for splodge. Looks like not all of my FF bookmarks made it across for some reason. That's odd. Still don't care that much though. This is a beta so I'm sure it'll get fixed sometime in the future. Meanwhile I still like Chrome so far. Laughing

Another downside I found, is that I can't use my "web developer" toolbars. Again since this is a beta, that was just released today, I'm sure someone will port the FF plugins to Chrome soon. Cool

Also noticed something odd just now while installing it at home. You download the installer and yet it still has to download Chrome. Might not be fun for dial-ups but I really didn't notice on my DSL. Smile

Seems good, I don't have to mess with it like ff3/IE.

This definitely has a lot of potential.
This will be handy for school because their dumb Vista computers wont run firefox (apparently because Vista recognizes firefox as a "security threat")

I think this will be an great browser once it gets out of Beta and all the features are added.

Anyone find a "home" button yet? Hmmm

I like the start page with my most visited. But I don't always want to start a new tab just to get to it. Confused

and that's good enough for me.... Very Happy

With all due respect to splodge (and his undeniable awesomeness in other areas); Splodge likes IE and IE is one of the worst browsers out there. If you only code for IE then of course your sites will look odd in a standards-compliant browser. Laughing

I've downloaded Chrome and it imported all my Firefox bookmarks without a hitch (after I shutdown FF that is).

So far all my sites look the same and this browser is FAST. I'ma keep playing with it.

i second this...this thing izzz fazzzt! and tight.

One thing made my crack up.

The fact that they had the nerve to designate it a Beta !

(think about it)
