I had a look on the image on my two diffrent monitors. I set one monitor darker than it should be. Then it looked a bit funky. But in regular colors and darkness it looks very well

"Winners are Grinners! Only losers notice that spaghetti floats now and then on their poor little un-calibrated K-Mart monitors!
You're still the best 'Noodlidge with the Appendage' around here R2!

my issues with the spaghetti
1 (red arrows) - 'sharp' corners, geometry should be smoother
2 (blue arrows) - blurry at places
3 (green arrows) - at crossings I would expect to see something like this:
I guess it depends on how long the pasta was boiled, issue should be easily resolved with a cook-off experiment

Thanks Voks. You're right. I fixed it. http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/145088/display.html?nocache=1
It's funny how I know better and if someone else did it I would have seen it, but when it is your own work, sometimes we don't see the obvious. That is why I always ask for a second pair of eyes is something just seems wrong.
Thanks again.

I can't believe you cant see it !
The only explanation that doesn't make you look a pilchard is that its something to do with your much higher Mac gamma ?
I'm calibrated to 2.0 and to me the spag in that 4 O'clock area is too bright.
Of course...you can always look at it another way. That the relative luminance of the spag is actually correct and it's the stainless steel being too dark in certain areas that is the problem.

Yes, I menshed something along those lines when i voted, but you don't see the luminance problems ? (yeh they are minor problems on an overall excellent piece)

Looks a thousand times better. There still is some float Bro. I mean..the spaghetti..it's sticky stuff, and there is never going to be any open space at all between it and it's reflection in the straightaways.
An amazing. well done, realistic image BTW...aside from the floating, but hey, that's what artistic license is all about. Take one from Marco's book.
