The problem is probably already fixed by now, but if not, TJ and others speak the truth. Flip-4-Mac, VLC Media Player, and VisualHub are all Mac armaments I use to do transcoding (converting) of video formats back and forth. VisualHub is now out of business, but another option is to use ffmepgX.
... and please DO refer to ReinMan as the other "gramps" as often as you like. Like TJ says; He's a good guy.

I was just saying that Gramps ( a member here at PSC) knows alot about this stuff and maybe could help.

i had also a problem, making videos with the ixus980, it is MOV and i need in windows movie maker AVI, so i convert them frst and then i can run them under xp

Delia has cramps?
Flip 4 Mac....let us know if that fixes your issues. I have a MacBook Pro running OS 10.5 and have Flip 4 Mac and no probs...I run windows on it and use video on both OS without problems.

Damn. I feel I've missed an opportunity here. Nancers posts and in her post is the word "cramps" and I'm thinking to myself there MUST be SOME way to turn that into a Witty ReinMan To Nancers BURN, but... I gotta tell ya... I got NUTHIN.

Hey, it worked this time !
I use a product called "video converter for Mac", but it costs about $50. Works good it will convert any movie format to any other format. PSC will not let me post the address. PM me and I can tell you where to find it.

There is an Old Fogey Filter built into this site. Once you hit a certain age you can no longer assist the Young Folks with "Their Problems".
Consider yourself SET FREE! 
(mine kicks in on September 23rd of this year. YAY!!!)
