hmmm . . . . somewhat embarrassed about this . . . . .
ummmmm . . . . .
Standard Apple mouse.
No need, Alan! I too am an Apple Mouse Man. I do have a wacom tablet, but use it very rarely.
I've done some serious pondering lately, and I realized that the really GOOD choppers here (and I'm NOT putting myself in that boat) had strong backgrounds in actual ART DRAWING & ILLUSTRATION. They know how to paint, or draw, well. So they come from a place of PEN & BRUSH. A stylus is very natural to them.
Myself, I've never done the "drawing thing" so therefore the mouse is WHAT I KNOW. You can do a LOT of good work with a mousy. (though I'm now thinking about going back to night courses for this "Drawing/Ilustration" stuff as I know it will help my chopping at a pro-level)
Big Fact: it is what you are most comfortable with at any given time that works for YOU, for now
. The boundary of good vs. crap is NOT in the tools, it is in the tool USER.
Big Fact II : and always be open to expanding your tool box as you go through your creative life thang!
Having more choice in techniques/tools will always give you a better chance of doing better work.
