With celebrities dropping like flies lately, the front page has been littered with RIP threads. In an effort to streamline this place, a few of us thought an "Official PSC Obituary Thread" might be a good idea.

So, let's use this handy little thread whenever another oh so important celebrity pops his/her clogs.
'Ol Putty nose is dead!
 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Malden
Used him a lot as a visual tag line on my Amex ads:-

"Don't leave home without them!"

Looks like Karl left his on the bedside table for the last time after a good run.

What's with you humans and your constant need to organize things. Threads are threads. One person isn't important enough to have his or her own thread? What the hell is a thread? We're talking about minute data on a hard drive for a separate thread, not stacks and stacks of actual paper like the junkmail that comes to our home addresses. I'm sick of seeing the same threads on the front page all day long. I want to see a stream of a hundred threads throughout the day. This place gets boring with the lack of action. The hell with your idea.

oh, by the way...... Rest in Peace DAVID CARRADINE. You almost deserved your own thread.

...this was kind'a just a tongue-in-cheek poke at the slew of RIP threads around here lately. Some people hate them, some like 'em. Some people like to talk about stuff other than PS, some don't. You'll never please everyone around here.

My local pub run an on going comp

They call it 'Pop your clogs'

And all you do is bet on the next celeb that you think is gonna croak it next.

You pay Ł5 for each name you put up and the winner gets the lot.

The celeb has to be well known enough to make the front page of a national newspaper and must be in good health at the time of entry, so no choosing someone who's on deaths door already.

Its a bit sort of sick, but they get alot of interest in it.

that´s exactly my point splodge... and to avoid the countless RIP threads about people we give a damn, we decided to put this one up... I have no idea who is Karl Malden and Mollie Sugden... and still they got their own threads... so, if we are supposed to list all the dead celebrities, at least let´s do it in one place only... this is the only reason I´m updating the PSC Graveyard...

Sky Saxxon, who unfortunately died on the same day as MJ and Farah. Who was Sky Saxxon? you ask. He was singer with legendary 60s garage rock band The Seeds. Who were The Seeds? you ask...well, The Doors used to open for them.

They were attrocious.

Bit sad he's died after their tune was used for a major ad campaign though. (lynx body spray)
