Hi all

In the 'Like a Storm' comp that finished today, i had entered two entries.
My second entry was an update of my first entry and due to the fact that i had changed it so much i thought it better to enter it separately.
Now i'm not normally one to ask this kind of thing and i know voting has been an odd subject here at PSC from time to time, but can someone please tell me what was so wrong with my updated entry that it didn't deserve even one vote?

you want me to be honest....
I thought the 2nd one was better... but
I didn't like what was behind the curtain.
the curtain itself was really well done IMHO...
But what was behind the curtain, killed any joy I had about how cool the curtain part was...

Kinda like OH MAN THAT'S COOL and then WTF IS THAT? all in one

to be fair, my criteria wasn't 'who are my bestest best friends in the whole wide world, and let me vote for those'

I only voted for the ones I thought would make good CD covers in what was the band's genre...
IE: Heavy Rock/Metal

Hope that helps ya Glen.

Rey tells me which chops I'm allowed to vote for. He didn't say I could vote for yours, so you might want to take it up with him.

I liked the first one, it sort of gives the message: Let the show begin...
I also like the curtain and the colours you chose but the second one seemed too busy and the message was lost in that one.

Missed the entire contest but personally I prefer the first one. Version two is just too busy for my tastes.

I didn't vote for any of the images that turned the one eye into two eyes. I felt the single eye was a powerful element in the band's artwork and in my opinion lost impact when paired up with another. I do like the curtain in the second one. I'm not that turned on by what's behind the curtain. Fine job, I had just decided to pass on the entries that had two eyes. I was a little picky on this contest. Sorry. It was undervoted for sure.

Thanks for being honest guys Smile
Andy I agree I liked the curtains on the 2nd entry but was not happy about the middle bit.
I just thought if deserved at least one vote. Sad
I guess we will never understand how some people vote, why they follow what others vote on and why others dont even vote at all.
Still its all in the name of learning.

Thanks again for your opinions Smile

Now I must STFUAC Wink

easy to answer: the lightning is way too much for my taste. the additional patterns on the curtain, also on the backside of the curtain, look great. at this point, you should have stopped chopping on it.

DON'T EVER USE THE COLOUR BLACK IN A GRAPHIC DESIGN AS IT WILL ALWAYS CAUSE STRESS AND INFRINGEMENT OF YOUR PERSONAL FREEDOM.
