There's this free small program called Irfanview, you can download...it opens .Raw files, than you can save as TIFF etc. Smile

I haven't used raw in a while but if I remember correctly I had to (in cs3 ex) go to bridge>file>open with camera raw. From there I could adjust the photo, I could then close it or have it open in ps.

I found a free update for CS4 camera raw (vs 5.7): http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4683

If you don't have it you might want to look into the free Adobe DNG converter: http://www.adobe.com/products/dng/

Don't know if you have windows or mac version, make sure that you get the right download version.

Hope it helps and takes care of your problem, John

I agree with what JW said above. Adobe Camera RAW 5.7 supports Panasonic DMC-FZ38.
Alternately, go with the RAW processing software that came with the camera - Silkypix

I usually just drag those types of files into the photoshop icon.

in the windows box, in the quick launch icon i placed there.

In the mak, i put one in the dock so i can drad pics into it. opens photoshop with the file in both windows and mac for me.
