I was convinced it was chopped but hey. Man I'd habe loved to have been the one taking THAT pic... stunning (if its real)

Those photo's were real for sure.

The realy wierd thing is, that a scientist who was interested in lightning also discovered that with the lightning being grounded, when it hits something, there are also parts of the lightning reflecting back into the clouds,

He made films of that spectacle and it created neat little films, that showed the lightning painting images - not unlike the trees in winter, all branches, no leafs.

Tree trunk was the original lightning, and the branches going up into the clouds would grow on that trunk.... very spooky, but very impressive too.

It was on National Geographic in my country this week, as it happened on the same day I noticed that image of the volcano lighting on MSN for the first time.
