I have PS CS3 currently installed on my pc... but I would like to get my image ready back... as far as I know PS cs3 does not include image ready or its features. Is there a way I can install image ready on my pc without uninstalling pscs3?

k tnx.

Very Happy

"Animated GIF files do not open with editable layers in Photoshop CS3
Issue

When you open an animated GIF file in Adobe Photoshop CS3, the file opens with a single layer that displays the first frame of the GIF file, and the Animation palette timeline is empty. If you save the GIF file from Photoshop CS3, the animation frames are lost.
Reason

Previous versions of Photoshop included ImageReady, which opened animated GIF files with a layer for each frame of the animation.
Solution

Open the animated GIF file in Adobe Fireworks. Fireworks provides editable layers and timelines for animated GIF files."

This is what I found using Google, but this is not my question. My question is if I could install PSCS3 and Image ready together without any rewriting of files and further complications. This I couldn't find in Google.

How to open gif (with all frames) in PS3

File > Import > Video frames to layers
this opens a load window,

a bit tricky here, as only quicktime movies will be shown (mov, avi, mpg, mpeg)
but if you manually type the filename (like animation.gif) it will open too

next window will appear: Import video to layers
select the range (explains it self)

and important:
check: Make frame animation

ps will import the gif, make layer for each frame
and (due to checkmark) set the necessary view/not view properties for each frame

Be warned though, gifs that do not have a constant framerate will be 'corrupted', since each frame will get the same frametime

ohh yes... this works... onto uninstalling cs2 Very Happy

Just one thing tho... to save some time.. you can type " *.* " then click load... this will bring all the gifs up.
