What is the proper test for someone to check themselves to see if they are dead??

The finger test is a proper test, another method is by measuring the rectal temperature. umm.. if you want to be 100% sure, do them both, the finger-rectal test.

I think it's the "Stick yourself with a pin" test! If you don't holler then your either dead or drunk!! 
Of course you could use the "Walk into Traffic" test! Only problem with that one is if you aren't dead then you will be!
