Please help... this issue has been driving me mad for some time!

When pasting a layer into PS which needs to go within two pixels of the edge of the screen, the program pulls the new layer to the edge from 3 pixels out... so one cant line up the layer properly... it either has to be 4 pixels out or flush... this seems crazy and must be able to be shut off somehow!

Turning something OFF when you dont know what its called is hard...

It is beyond me why the feature exists to begin with... If a user wants the layer in line with the edge they will put it that way and dont need the programs assistance?

With the layer selected use the move tool, Holding down the CONTROL key and moving the layer image it will disregard the snap action!
This also works with the CROP tool.

I see your question has been answered....but another thing you can use to move selected layer in small increments... is the arrow keys.
