I have to make a holiday card for the company I work for...and I am totally out of ideas. Nothing seems to work well. So what I need is any idea, thought, or suggestion that combines the holidays with direct mail (i.e. Junkmail). Unfortunatly is has to be absolutely non religious (there goes all my santa ideas) Your help is greatly appreciated. Confused

You start with a blank page, and give that a festive colour.
Duplicate that layer

Then you use one of the cutting tools to create a cut out on the duplicate layer
(keyhole shape)

Duplicate the cut out
Now use one cut out and the layer it came out off to play with different levels, shadows, depth etc.

Create a transparency with these two layers, and try to make it frosty glass.

Create a little shiny bell with the cutout part of the keyhole
Then, give the bell a white rim (duplicate again and turn colour into white, then slightly enlarge)

Place these two bell layers under the frosty background, so that it can be seen through the hole in the bottom layer.

The transparent keyhole cutout you have left you put on top - create a little screw and a screwdriver and place the three - so you can suggest that your company can reach even those guarded places.

Now write: "Your wishes, our wishes", or something like that.

I feel for your quandary and not to besmirch you I have to wonder about the company your doing this for. A job is a job.
It's christmas, it's a religious holiday for some and just a day off for others. Are they afraid to offend someone? I mean Santa, verboten, a figment of the corporate world to promote sales! This happy holidays crap is too much. It's CHRISTMAS, not Hanukkah, not Ramadam, not Karva Chauth. If they want to send a card on those days I'm not offended if I get one, hey I might even learn something to bring me a better understanding of others. Hey,don't do that. It's something Christ might of done.

Let me the first MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you.

If I offended anyone I have two other words for you and they are not good luck.

If it happens to relate with direct mail, why not a mailbox, decorated with a red bow, the door of the mailbox is opened, showing the direct mail. Do not forget the snow on the mailbox.

The old reliable is (Tis The Season, Happy Holidays, etc) The idea of a decorated mailbox to imply christmas without stating it seems nice. Now background the traditional would be snow covered country. But why not a beach and decorated bungalow with surfboards.

Probably SOS but what the heck. Laughing Laughing Laughing

I've always liked this one

With couple small changes it could be a nice chrismas card. And the tutorial is around the net.
