Hi

Long time no see! alien

Are any of you well-versed in the art of converting a layered PSD to an fbml page?

I want to create something for my business page on facebook (I've already created the tab - 'mellowdesign'.

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mellowdesign/148150441901846?v=app_4949752878

Enclosed is the design (open to amending if it helps)

There are some social site links as well as a 'recent work' image, which I'd like to be able to update myself by adjusting the code as required.

If anyone is interested, can you pm me or email me at studio@mellowdesign.co.uk and let me know if you can do it, how long it would take, and how much. I'm happy to pay something (PayPal), but bearing in mind I'm freelance in this current economic climate (UK), the cheaper the better.

Many thanks in advance!

Mel @ mellowdesign

Very Happy

from the fb developers site:

We are in the process of deprecating FBML. If you are building a new application on Facebook.com, please implement your application within an iframe, using our JavaScript SDK and Social Plugins. While there is still functionality that we have not ported over yet, we are no longer adding new features to FBML.

Means you shouldn't try to use the FBML format at all.

You'll need to go with a different mechanism and from the sound of that post it's very similar to the Yahoo Widget engine (although I haven't dug into it to find out for sure).

Basically you get to start over. Confused

Strike that. Just skimmed over the FB developer documentation. Looks like you create your application and host it on your own server. Then register it with FB and create an HTML iframe tag to display the app. So you're not using the FBML tags any longer.

There's a tutorial about the new app creation. If you can script/program at all you should be able to follow it.
