Hi, I understand about uploading the contest image etc and how to submit .

But could someone explain what we are allowed to do with the image and what we are expected to do. I have noticed on some entries I am very creative and want to really get involved.

Thanks for any advice.

It is entirely up to you as to what you want to enter. There are full rules posted here,

http://photoshopcontest.com/faq/help.html

Simply download the posted source picture of any given day, then modify it with any photo editing software such as Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, GIMP, etc, then upload it for voting.

Originality and craftsmanship rank high here. Simply running a photo through a Photoshop filter won't net you many votes. Think of a theme, try to tell a story. Humor is a good thing. Don't be an asshole and post insulting or racist images, that won't fly here, although you can be rather crude if you wish - there are rough senses of humor here. Don't steal other people's work and post it as your own, the photoshop police will catch you.

Above all, have fun.
Good luck.

Could not have helped you better than YerPalAl.

Welcome to PSC, and lets see some more chops!

Tip:
You have done some nice ones so far. A lot of people only vote on entries the first or second day so if you have a late entry a lot of times it will be over-looked.

Thanks, Shane, I should have mentioned the time element. Smile
