I second this: my love for the United States of A as a very young kid became forever when I got to learn our history, the fact that more than 300 000 US guys died in order to save US from the nazi. Clearly, every pleasure and emotion I have enjoyed in my life so far is thank to them and to THEIR allies. My parents would not even have been borned.I wouldn't have been borned.

My ties with the USA, or even friendships disappearing saddens me because history has chosen to make US allies, USA and the French opressed. I have grown a passion for the USA, and US tv has replaced French tv in my life, which was made possible thank to the internet that exists thank to the USA like Youtube and google etc etc.

I too was born in Europe after the war, (Croatia) and maybe my parents would not have ended up the way they did if it was not for all the soldiers that stormed the beaches in Normandy on this day in 1944, I thank them all for the sacrifices they made.
