I had a cartoon idea today, but it's been decades since I drew one, so I thought I'd describe it to AI to see what it produced. I used Google's Gemini. This is what I posed:

Create a Larsonesque cartoon showing two polar bear cubs seated at a dinner table on an ice floe. A mother polar bear is serving them pies with top crust. The cubs bear looks of dismay. The mother frowns. All of this should appear with an ocean background and gray, overcast skies.

Here is the result:

........................................................"Aw, Mom, not eskimo pies again!"

The caption is mine, of course. I think the cartoon is excellent, considering the limited instructions given AI. I attempted to tweak it by asking for the inclusion of an empty kayak, but Gemini produced a completely different cartoon. The second cartoon was good.

If I were a mediocre professional cartoonist, I'd be looking for a new line of work.

I did a right click on your image in imgur, then selected Copy Image Address. I then pasted the address here. Finally, I highlighted/selected the address and clicked the Img button above. That worked. Using imgur's tool to Copy Link (or whatever) didn't work with multiple attempts. That doesn't surprise me; a few weeks ago imgur dropped their very useful link menu. That site has gone to Hell.

That image is pretty frickin' good! Add Nature Photographer to the list of endangered species.

I have to retract the above criticism of imgur: I just went there and discovered an "escape" button permitting users to return to the old format. Duh! Embarassed

Prompting is fun Ted, I'm having a blast!

Yo-Ganja

I take it you're implying that an "Eskimo" makes a great tasting pie
or is at least pie worthy...
Shocked
