On a daily basis, there are 3 or 4 choppers at best, followed by the same 3 or 4 voters, and since Bob who is a real nice guy and votes for everyone but his votes cancel out so this leaves the contests in the hands of basically two non participating voters. This site has become a Pathetic place to compete, lost all of it's former glory. It's not a battle of Photoshop, but a battle of AI. And,Yes I do use it at times, but creativity is in the prompt's words not in the mind and hands of the chopper.

I just wrote this in "chat" but rather than have ppl form the perception that I'm someone who appears to be a "backbiter" I'm repeating it here, to you, and to all of the PSC community.


Some PSC members are here to learn and hone their skills -- to be silly and share their personality. I've seen some ask you how you've made something and I hope you PM them to let them know. This community has shrunk, but I'd think that's to those who do participate advantage -- less competition, right?

Not a complaint Eve, a call for people to chop more and not just throw a vote here and there at times. This place is hanging by a thread, and I don't want it to end.
No one here is more grateful than I am for winning more than my fair share of prize contests, that is where all the competition is, and there should be more, I put in my two allowed entries all the time, if I was allowed six, then I'd put in six.
As far as AI is concerned, I did say it's here to stay, learn from it, etc. I did not say create a whole chop with it, I quote Old96 "Somebody else is painting your painting for you."

Oh gen's complaining...he's right, it's heartbreaking to me too.but cope with it, ps contests are no more on earth except for a handful.ps was my passion and eve and I knew eachother was it 20 years ago Eve?
Long ago we'd make friends online we'd meet across the globe.without that the fun had left for me.nowadays many of us have died and we're the only survivors.

It's not only AI it's ps that evolved into such awesomeness that it leaves room to making only perfect creative and beautifull photos

Yes, Led, I joined in 2005!! Oy! There was lots of interactions, fun & friendly comps aside from the dailies. We have gone through several PSC owners -- a few with much vested interest in this little community, until "we" were handed off to another one.

I'm just not as optimistic as you two are.
I lost contact with this site for over a week and thought it was over, I thought, what a sad and abrupt ending, then I asked someone in my family living far from me to try to get on the site, and they did, but I just got a blank page, it took many emails to different people to re establish contact but finally did get site back and I wonder for how long it will stay now.
I think Rajan finally got it for me, but not too sure. It cut out before many times before, and probably will again.
Doing the best with all the dissapointments.
