That's so weird! It looks like it isn't anti-aliased.

Hey, have you tried resetting your tools to the default? If it was fine, before, and now it's not, it sounds like some setting changed.

thbeghin has a good point... usually I set the zoom to fit to screen and the borders screw up cause they´re like at 103,7% zoom...

yup.. 100%. i wanted already to complain that even the elliptical tool did not work, but then i had it indeed not on 100%. Embarassed

and cynn, thanks for the tip but i also did a full reset and also deleted the prefs file.

i tested this stuff also on another pc, but it is the same.
i just made a big blunder and was thinking that the lasso tool could also make clean edges. i was wrong (god i hate to say such things!!!) Mad

again learned something. LASSO TOOL CAUSES JAGGED EDGES!
