Yeah! Shame on you all for trying to come up with a fun game. Shame, shame, shame.

Laughing

(I hope we can dust this idea off after the tournament wraps, and give it another go.)

"Gumby Fantasy league"...good one...hah...I guess the joke's on us...huh? Rolling Eyes

Ronni (and st1n3r), I've seen some discussion about how this might have been just some "joke" from a few members and felt I should comment.

It's a good fun idea that was designed to bring members together. It has done that even without the follow through. How many members do you suppose contacted each other via PM and talked about strategy and what not? There was chatter in the forums and MOST people were having a good time with it.

Two of the "coordinators" had to back out due to personal matters and chicken was left to handle it while trying to drum up some more help. It wasnt going to be something easy to tally points and track it all. Had I been him, I would have done the same thing.

Another point worth mentioning is that the site would not offer free advantage as a joke. It wasnt something JMH had to do for our silly game but, like many of us, he felt it was a pretty decent idea and with the added prize, people would really get into it.

Maybe the H2H and whatnot going on at the same time had a negative effect on the whole gumby thing too...who knows.

I'm with Cynn...I hope we can pull it together after the h2h and things settle down. Don't forget the scavenger hunt could happen any time after the h2h too...we don't want to try too many things at the same time.

Until it gets going, thanks to all that tried and put some thought into this. Im convinced it would have been fun.
