I agree supak...well, still better than a pc IMO, but I dont need a screen, I'd rather get the 2x2ghz instead...........if I could ;p

I got a better idea...anyone who got a 2ghz g5, would you try resizing an photo to 13000 px x13000 px, duplicate it about 10 times, then drawing across it with a 2500 px soft brush and tell me what happens ?
for info it took 1 minute 50 sec. to complete the operation on my pc

I'll pay you in good wishes ;)

Only Three things you need to know.
1.) MAC G4 or G5 Dual Proc
2.) Memory (1 or more GB)
3.) Throw away your PC

Macs rule, I can't help with the specs for what you need though led, I'm not a pro at this graphics shit.

I have both macs and PC's at home, the PC's give me way more "trouble"...or maybe it's the male users who misbehave. Who knows?

Talk to the202, he knows Macs.

I don't know the way it is in Europe but in the US you can sometimes get 20-30% off in a factory refurb from Apple. They have the same warranty.

I know lots of people who swear by the iMacs but I have tended to shy away from them. They are sometimes a great deal and don't take up much space. From a reliability standpoint having everything all together is not a good thing. The monitor is often the least reliable part on a computer so when that goes you are sunk. I have had a lot of macs over the past several years and the only ones that have given me any problems are the all in one designs. The other annoying thing about that design is the lack of expandability. It's not as serious an issue now that we have USB and firewire though. I have 6 computers here (5 macs and 2 PCs). The one I use regularly is a dual 2.5 GHz G5 with 1.5 Gig of ram and 1 terabyte of disk storage.
