jihad on this topic...makin me choke on my joe (that's coffee, perverts) over here. You know what's pissing me off? Christmakuh, or whatever the hell they're calling it. Way to completely disrespect two major faiths! I don't know if that's a thing outside of NYC, but it's all over the place here this year, and it's just driving me nuts.

Since this seems to be the Christmas pet peeve area, I've got another one: What the heck is up with putting the baby Jesus into the nativity scene before Christmas Eve? Focus, people.

Also, Nativity scenes that contain crosses or crucifix images...totally bothersome, and confusing to the little ones.

I like what Scion said about his family and Christmas trees. We've had a similar debate about Santa in our house...but then we did some research on St. Nicolaus, and now we feel a lot better about Santa. In fact, St. Nick (the original) is my vote for best Christian ever...if the idea of Christianity is to try to become as much like Christ as possible, which I think it is.

The more physics I read, the more interesting and real God becomes for me.

why was jesus born 2000 years ago, when the next guy only knew the next guy, an adveturous person might know the next village, and the big adventurer might know 4 or 5 towns, if jesus was born to spread the word, surely he would wait untill they discovered the rest of the world, mass transport, mass comunication, the internet, by my reconing, he should of been born about ten years ago,
view all shool children with great suspition Confused

I have no idea what you just said, but even if I did I'd say it just makes no sense!! Very Happy

As far as spreading the Word, Holy Cow guy, he IS The Word,
That's the whole point, that's why everything that exists altogether is called,
The Uni-Verse.In Christ all things consist. That's why protons and electrons can speed around a neutron at light speeds and totally ignore the whole business
of natural laws and inertia. It's written in every little atom.

Oh my, is the world ill?
Is there something wrong with it?
Please tell me, I'll have it fixed in a jiffy, you can't expect me to take care of everything if you aren't gonna speak up when things get a little out of whack, ya know.
I miss things sometimes, i have distractions just like anyone else ya know.

You might as well ask me how many must die before we obtain peace.

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, 'n' how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind,
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
