Since you allow 13 year old members, perhaps themes should be kept to pg13. Abstract work is okay, but lately I've noticed a dangerous trend towards obscene.

Yes, nudity has its place in art, but there is a fine line between art and indecency. We are risking crossing that line.

oooooooooooooh this is an interesting one you have bought up hungry.

In my view, it would be near impossible to make this an adult only site, and by no means should it be, its online, so near enough anyone with a computer and a modem has access.

I agree extreme and totally obscene images are a no no, but the odd bit of tasteful nudity, and well themed violence should be ok.

I mean if youngens are accessing the site, parents should be clued up about what they do, and put in place the relevant prevention methods as they see fit.

As for the rest of us grown ups, well as long as it isn't hardcore extreme, then I see no problem with it.

thats my 69 cents worth Wink

But It's the first and the last warning.... Sad so.
I hope that every one that post pics that are gory-nude-erotic- or related.
You will get a warning to.

So i agree with Marco.
I did not do it to shock people or to hurt people's feelings.
So youngsters..... tell your parrents to block nudity, porn, sex, and other adult stuff.

SORRY TO ALL OF YOU>>>>>>>>> i will not post any of this adult stuff again.

i apologize as well, although this site is getting a little to pc instead of psc for my tastes and i don't trust anyone to deem something obscene; i must admit that i did not realize we had 13 year olds viewing this site. from now on, my pictures and posts will contain NO nudity, implied nudity, violence, implied violence, swearing or implied swearing. i think we also need to protect the under 13 audience as well, so i am going to suggest that instead of making our images PG-13, we should make them all G rated. so please lets all take it upon ourselves not to make any more images that do not contain any muppets or cartoon animals. i also will not post anything with any comedy either so not to offend those who were born without a sense of humor. if you laugh or get any enjoyment whatsoever from one of my pictures from now on, know that it was unintentional. to protect our fellow members (oops, is it ok to say 'member' if i don't mean it in a phallic way?) who have heart conditions, i will no longer be posting any shocking or startling pictures or posts. since i do not want to waste time working on something that someone might deem 'inappropriate', i will try to refrain from posting any pictures at all. this will also be my last post in English, to protect the illiterate, i will learn and put all my future posts in sign language. but what about the blind? although we may think that a blind person would not be able to fully enjoy psc without the use of their eyes, we must respect their freedom to join and share their pictures with us and to vote and / or just comment. therefore since i do not know which memb - oops, sorry - posters are visually challenged, i do not think it would be fair for me to look at one poster's work and not anothers. henceforth from now on I will only look at people's work with my eyes closed. since i will not be able to see the difference between the vote and the comment buttons and i don't want to unfairly accidentally give votes to people who do not deserve them, i will refrain from exercising my voting rights - except for the case of marcoballistic because his work is consistently awesome.

I guess we could have something called the Manass-section, where people could post "PG>13" pics. Of course, that section could also be used for such things as half-a-kitten.

I agree with QLT. This is a slippery slope indeed. That's why we have moderators with the power to pull images that they deem inappropriate.

If anyone has a problem with any image that I post (contest, forum, chat, etc.) then just let me know you don't think it's appropriate. If I don't agree then PM a mod. If they pull it then so be it.

The system works if you let it. Hey look a boobie!

I must admit that it is very difficult to define what can and should be allowed. As long as I have been a member I haven't seen anything that offends my sensibilties. I don't particularly like some of the blood scenes but realize there is technique involved in creating this and I recognize the effort.
I think one of the problems is that we think with the morals of our particular region. Being Canadian and raised in Quebec my tolerance for so called adult scenes does not offend me at all as long as they are not graphic in nature. Even in my country the tolerance for this is different in French Canada than it is in English Canada. The supreme court of the United States has never been able to define what is art and what is profanity. I don't expect more from the sites moderators.
Regionally a 13 year old maybe offended by seeing a depiction of a murder scene and in another region 13 year olds are wielding AK-47s and using them. They see blood every day and it's real.
I do not envy the moderators job in the least. How to you make a definition of morality for the whole world. This is not a Dutch site, an American site, a British site, but a global site where we can get input from all cultures and gain an understanding of our diferences so we can dismiss these and concentrate on the similarities

When I was raising my son, as a parent I took great care to watch what he was watching and to regulate the TV. The internet was not a situation I had to deal with. My television had an off button. Suggestion: use it!
I was a bit surprised to hear that we have kids as members, however, any child who is unsupervised, can and probably does visit this site and believe me I am not telling you anything that you don't know, where else are they going? Are we to monitor everyones child? Are we to administer unsupervised children? I don't think this should fall on the moderators. Certainly from the discussions I have read here we are a very caring and generally sensible group.
I am very frightened of the slippery slope that exists where there is a leaning to the right,
Use the judgement and sensibility you have to insure you treat other people feelings as you would wish them to exercise towards your feelings. My experience is that I know when I exceed boundaries, sometimes this is necessary but I don't think this is the site.

I respect the decisions made on this site and support the moderators 100% and thank them for their deligence.
