I'm kinda new with photoshop, and everything i've done i learned practicing, but i'm not an advance user here in PspContest so i have few time to the works, and i get not too many comments. I wish i could get some comments in how i could improve my works.
can someone give some pointers in this last contest, check my pic and tell me how can i improve it, please.

Try to find out what all the features in Photoshop are for. Just start of with a blank canvas and try everything out.

Check out the pics of the others and study them,... try to think of a way they did their pics.

Keep on posting, you will learn from it. You will get better and better by it.

Always go for clean pics, work with paths and channels, use a lot of layers do adjusments can be done easily. Work with adjustment layers. Don't use filters too much for the effect only use them like a photographer would use his options in a dark room.

Have fun with it, maybe that's the best tip I can give you.

Good luck! Smile

if you asked me there are 2 things with your pic i would think if changing...... the light behind the stairs, and the ground infront of them. i would fade the stairs into the light and the ground into the water.
i hope that helps some..... Smile

look for tutorials where they show a finished project and then show you the steps it takes to get there. (the ones on this site too)

Look through peoples portfolios, esp. the top posters.

I used to like reading the Photoshop Wow! books because they teach alot of neat tricks and effects.

Stick with this site and you WILL get better.
