So I've not been an active member of this site in a while and I just signed up for the H2H contest. I think I've had a steady bout of choppers block for the past few months. I think I've seen a thread like this before, but I wasn't sure where to look. Anyway, any suggestions or ideas on where you guys come up with your ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Drugs.
Lather.
Rinse.
Repeat.

If it doesn't strike me right away, sometimes I rotate the image and look again. Flip it, look again....
Try some of the distortions, see if anything strikes me.
Zoom way in, zoom way out.
But lately, I am with you, having trouble finding the inspiration. If am doing two or three a month right now, I 'd be surprised. Over the winter, I had an entry nearly every day.
The nice weather is pulling me away from the computer...

Damn it, Splodge. I did just that last week - and I was told to GET A SHAVE, CUT MY HAIR, and STOP WEARING PURPLE. 
Maybe it will work for the rest of you though.

i look at the source... then try and figure out what the majority of people would do w/ the source... then i try and do something completely different and unique. sometimes humor is a good way to go too. you can flip the source rotate and crop as well to look at it in different ways and see what pops up in your mind as well
