Sweet looking chop! Could use maybe a bit of edge shading to make the body look more hemispherical and less flat, but lovely colour and contrast anyway.

I agree w/bigbuck about making the bug look more 3D-- if realism was your intention. I do like the photo-illustration quality of this... the bug sort of looks like stained glass to me (I think the bold black outline also contributes to this).

A nice little creation. Based on all the light I would add some light to the body part in shadow, and follow BigBuck's advice.
