Good and original think'n ! ...a couple of things. I would soften the edges of the shark's head, so as to give it a bit more "3D". The arm (if it's supposed to be above the water) should be distorted like the water's surface.

Ah ha ha, DP. He did wear the hat to begin with, but they felt it was "taking attention away from the big scary shark", so they made him take it off. Go figure...

Might try those changes TBC. Couldn't quite work out how to make the arm ripple to match the water but could always give it another go. Maybe if I hit the the contrast up I could make a discplacement psd from the existing water? Any ideas?
